Under 6 focus areas
For our very youngest players, the focus is on developing a love of team and ball sports with an emphasis on:
physical mobility including running, general fitness, agility and gross motor skills
working with others to achieve a common objective (Attack or Defence) and feeling part of a team or club
carrying and running with ball in hand
introduction to passing and catching
finally listening, respect for other players and trying your best
The most important aspect at this age is to make the training as inclusive and fun as possible with parental involvement where necessary to overcome any stage fright for first timers.
