Under 12 focus areas

Building on the safe tackle practiced in the U10s, we now introduce the ruck, maul and uncontested scrum, specifically:

 

• working as a team to retain possession when ball carrier is tackled either on the ground (ruck) or remains standing (maul) 

• developing supporting play techniques when in possession 

• forming the front row of the scrum (hooker and two props plus a scrum half) but without any pushing.
